Meet Andrew

Andrew Nguyen is a seasoned property management expert with over a decade of experience in the real estate industry. In addition to his role as the Co-Founder and Principal Consultant of Castellan Consulting, Andrew is the current Managing Director of Aurora Estate Agents, where he leads with a deep commitment to excellence and client satisfaction, which just saw them nominated for the 2024 REIV Residential Property Management Team of the Year.

With a background in law, having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Griffith University, Andrew brings a unique blend of legal expertise and practical property management knowledge to his work. His career began in top-tier Australian and global law firms, including HWL Ebsworth and Allens Linklaters, where he honed his legal skills and developed a deep understanding of property law and litigation. His passion for development led him to work as a policy advisor to Brisbane City Council, focusing on infrastructure and public transport.

Entering the real estate industry as a sales agent, Andrew quickly established himself as a trusted advisor, known for his strategic insights and commitment to delivering exceptional results. Upon the opening of Aurora Estate Agents, Andrew moved his focus to property management. His combined legal and real estate background, positions him uniquely to offer clients comprehensive guidance in navigating the challenges of property management.

At Castellan Consulting, Andrew is dedicated to empowering real estate agencies and property managers with the knowledge, tools, and strategies they need to excel in a competitive market. His approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the industry, a passion for mentoring others and a relentless focus on achieving excellence.

When he’s not working, Andrew enjoys exploring Melbourne’s vibrant cultural scene and staying active in the community. He is also an avid golfer and has an extensive travel resume, having visited Japan, China, Myanmar, Cambodia, New Zealand, Thailand, and the US, which has enriched his perspective and approach to both life and business.

Andrew was recently nominated for the Industry Influencer of the Year in the 2024 National Property Management Awards.

Meet Robert

Robert Gallo is a distinguished barrister with a broad civil and commercial legal practice across the Australian East Coast. His expertise in court and tribunal-based advocacy and as a civil lawyer who lives and breathes litigation make him a vital asset to Castellan Consulting as a Co-Founder and Principal Consultant. Robert maintains a keen interest in the regulatory regimes for residential tenancies in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

In addition to his legal practice, Robert teaches advocacy as part of Queensland University of Technology’s postgraduate Practical Legal Training (PLT) program, where he shares his knowledge and experience with the next generation of legal professionals. He is also an editorial contributor to the Journal of East Asia and International Law, an active member of the Building Disputes Practitioners Society and enjoys spending some of his free time as a volunteer with community legal services.

Before joining the bar, Robert worked at a leading Australian law firm, South Korea’s national commercial arbitration institution, and in an editorial role for a large legal publisher. His career has seen him involved in significant litigation concerning major public infrastructure projects and representing a diverse array of clients, including ASX-listed corporations and not-for-profit entities. Robert has extensive experience appearing in courts and tribunals at both the state and federal levels.

As part of Castellan, Robert is dedicated to building up our clients’ capabilities in dispute resolution both in the Tribunal and before they get there. His diverse experience and deep commitment to his clients make him a trusted advisor and a driving force behind the success of Castellan.
